TAXFINAI (formerly COMPTA AI)

Terms of Use

End-User License Agreement

Last updated: October 20, 2026

This is an initial version. It will be revised.

1. What this agreement covers

TAXFINAI is published by Shai Laskar (sole proprietor) (“we”, “us”) and made available to accounting practices. These terms govern its use. By signing in, you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not sign in.

The platform is used by accounting practices to manage their US tax season workload and to perform month-end and year-end close review. It is not a consumer product, it is not open to the public, and nothing in it is offered for sale to you.

You reach the platform through the practice that employs or engages you. That practice remains responsible for the accounting data of its own clients; we hold that data on its behalf and act on its instructions.

2. Who may use the platform

Access is restricted to authorized personnel of a subscribing practice. There is no public sign-up and no self-registration: an administrator creates each account, and the new user receives an email invitation to set a password. If an administrator has not issued you an account, you are not authorized to use the platform.

3. Your account

Your account is personal to you. Do not share your credentials and do not let anyone else use your session. Tell us immediately at laskar.moshe@gmail.com if you believe someone else has used your account. An administrator may deactivate your account at any time, which ends your access immediately.

Your activity is recorded. The platform keeps an audit trail of the changes you make, and attributes the time entries and written content you create to you. This is a deliberate feature of a review tool, not a side effect.

4. What you may and may not do

You may use TAXFINAI to carry out the work your practice has assigned to you. You may not:

  • attempt to reach data outside the role granted to you, or work around the access controls described in our Privacy Policy;
  • use client data you encounter in the platform for any purpose other than the practice’s own engagement with that client;
  • extract, copy, transmit or redistribute client data except as the engagement requires and your practice permits;
  • probe, scan or test the security of the platform, or interfere with its operation or with anyone else’s use of it;
  • copy, modify, decompile, reverse engineer or create derivative works from the software, or make it available to any third party.

The software is proprietary and all rights are reserved. These terms grant you no license beyond the right to use the platform for as long as you remain an authorized user.

5. Connecting a QuickBooks Online company

Before you connect a client’s QuickBooks Online company, make sure your practice is authorized by that client to access its books. Connecting a company copies accounting data into the platform; what is copied is listed in our Privacy Policy.

The connection is read-only: the platform never writes to QuickBooks. You may disconnect a company at any time from within the application. Disconnecting revokes our authorization with Intuit, but it does not delete data that was already imported.

6. The review assistant and supporting documents

The platform includes an assistant that drafts analysis and justification comments. Three things about it are part of this agreement:

  • It proposes; you decide. The assistant cannot write to the platform. Its output is text with no effect until an authorized user reads it, chooses to use it, and saves it through the ordinary workflow.
  • It can be wrong. It may produce figures, references or conclusions that are incorrect. You remain responsible for anything you keep, exactly as if you had written it yourself.
  • Using it sends data to a third party. What is sent, and to whom, is set out in our Privacy Policy. Do not use the assistant if the engagement you are working on does not permit it.

The Platform may process supporting documents uploaded or otherwise made available to an engagement, including bank statements and similar financial records, using automated and artificial-intelligence-assisted tools to extract, classify, reconcile, summarize or propose information for review. AI-generated or extracted information is presented for review by an authorized user and does not, by itself, modify the client’s books or determine the client’s accounting or tax treatment.

7. Availability and changes

The platform is operated by one person and is provided on a best-effort basis. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it, and may take it offline for maintenance, without prior notice. We may also change these terms; the date at the top of this page shows when the text last changed, and continued use after a change means you accept the revised terms.

8. No warranty

TAXFINAI is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted or error-free, nor that any figure, computation, report or export it produces is accurate or complete.

The platform supports professional judgement; it does not replace it. Any figure it presents must be verified against the underlying records before it is relied upon, filed with an authority, or delivered to a client.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, nor for lost profits, lost data, or any cost arising from a filing, a delivery or a decision made on the basis of information obtained from the platform.

10. Termination

Your right to use the platform ends when your account is deactivated, or when you cease to be authorized by your practice. Sections 4, 8 and 9 survive termination. Deactivation does not by itself delete the records associated with you — see the retention section of our Privacy Policy.
